In DepoFlow, every sync job belongs to a Matter — the case or client engagement it is part of. Matters keep a busy season organized: all the depositions for one case live together, and the jobs list can be filtered by matter at a glance.
Open the New Sync Wizard
From anywhere in the desktop app, click New Sync in the top bar. From the home page you can also use the Start a New Sync Job action card. Everything happens on a single screen with three groups.
1. Pick a Matter
Choose an existing matter from the dropdown, or click + New Matter to create one right there — no need to leave the wizard. New jobs are labeled by their Witness name, so the matter is what groups multiple witnesses under one case.
2. Add Files
Drag your video and transcript into the drop zone, or click to browse. The wizard probes each transcript immediately when you attach it and confirms it parsed correctly — if a file cannot be read, you find out now, not after a failed sync. See Choosing and Adding Your Video and Transcript Files for the full list of supported formats.
3. Choose Services
- Sync Transcript — align the transcript you uploaded to the video's audio. This is the standard job.
- Generate Transcript — no transcript yet? DepoFlow can produce one from the audio using speech recognition.
- Resync Transcript — re-align an existing sync after the transcript has been edited or replaced.
The wizard hides combinations that do not make sense for the files you attached, so you cannot pick an invalid setup.
Submit
Click submit and DepoFlow saves your files to disk — you will see a brief Saving progress bar — then returns you to the home page, where the new job sits at Queued, ready to run.
