Create a job with the recording and the reporter's transcript. Check that the imported pages and lines match your source.

Sync and check the timing

Local speech recognition helps align the transcript to the recording. Review key passages and use the sync score to identify work that needs attention.

Package and deliver

Create a DepoFlow View bundle with the DepoFlow View file and video. Send the ZIP through your usual delivery channel.

Connect to create and pair your account, obtain credits, and install any additional speech model. With setup complete and sufficient credits, sync runs offline. Review requires an internet connection to purchase the designation unlock; reviewing and rendering then run locally. Processing time depends on recording length, audio quality, model, and hardware.

Deliver the browser viewer

The View bundle contains a DepoFlow View file (HTML) with the synced transcript and a separate video file. Recipients can view, search, and navigate by page and line in a modern desktop browser, including offline. Keep the files in the same folder.

Import compatible sync data and the matching video. Viewing and search are free. A $99 unlock per transcript lets your firm create designation sets and export selected testimony as a stitched MP4.

Review needs a synced transcript file, such as sync.json, plus the recording. The browser viewer ZIP is not imported directly.

FAQ

Before your first sync

What do I need for a sync?

A recording and the matching reporter's transcript with page and line references. Start with a page-and-line TXT transcript; legacy synced formats are also supported. PDF, DOCX, and PTX are not supported directly by the current local workflow. Ask your reporter for a TXT export and check the format guide.

Does speech recognition replace the reporter's transcript?

No. The sync workflow uses speech recognition to help align the existing transcript to the recording. Generated transcripts, where available, are drafts and are not a certified reporter transcript.

How accurate is the sync?

Results depend on the recording and transcript. The sync score is a confidence indicator, not a guarantee or percentage of correct timings. Check key passages and clip boundaries before delivery.

How long does processing take?

Recording length, model choice, computer hardware, and video encoding affect processing time. Importing existing timestamps differs from creating a new sync. We do not promise a fixed turnaround for every job.

Can I work offline?

What does counsel need to open the bundle?

Unzip the bundle and keep the HTML and video together. Open the HTML file in a modern desktop browser. If the video does not load automatically, choose the video file in the viewer. No DepoFlow account or installation is required.

Can I use the same ZIP in Review?

Review does not import the browser viewer ZIP directly. Ask the videographer for compatible synced transcript data, such as sync.json, and the matching video. Our sample ZIP includes those files for trying Review.

Is a free account a free sync?

Account creation and the desktop apps are free. Sync jobs consume credits at $5.00 per video hour, bought in packs from your account. The $99 Review designation unlock is separate.
