Once a job is created, syncing is a single action — but knowing what each status means makes it easy to run several jobs at once and spot problems early.
Start the Sync
On the home page or jobs list, open the job's three-dot action menu and choose Run Local Sync. Everything runs on your machine: DepoFlow parses the transcript, extracts the audio, transcribes it with a local speech-recognition engine, and aligns every word to your transcript's pages and lines.
What the Statuses Mean
- Queued — files are still saving to disk, or the job is waiting for you to start it.
- Syncing — parsing, transcription, and alignment are running. The chip shows overall progress.
- Encoding — DepoFlow is producing the normalized, browser-playable copy of the video. This is usually the longest step.
- Completed — alignment is done. The viewer is ready and the bundle button is active.
- Failed — something went wrong. Hover the status chip to see the error, then choose Retry Local Sync from the action menu.
Reading the Sync Quality Score
Every completed job shows a color-coded Sync Quality score:
- Green (95 or above) — ship-ready. Alignment is tight across the whole transcript.
- Amber (80–94) — good, but spot-check a few pages — crosstalk or poor audio may have loosened alignment in places.
- Red (below 80) — review before delivering. Often a sign of heavily clipped audio or a transcript that does not match the recording.
To verify, open the job and click any transcript line — the video jumps to that timestamp, so a quick sample across the transcript tells you everything.
Offline by Design
Syncs run without an internet connection, and your video and transcript stay on your machine. Each job draws from your credit balance — one credit per hour of video time.
