Linking the desktop app to your DepoFlow account connects billing, firm settings, and job status across both surfaces — while your actual video and transcript content stays on your machine.
Pair with a Device Code
- In DepoFlow Videographer, start the sign-in flow. The app shows a short device code (like WXTM-7K2P) and opens your browser to the pairing page.
- Sign in on the web if you are not already, and review the request — the page shows the device's details so you can confirm it is yours.
- Click Approve. The desktop app picks up the session within a few seconds and you are signed in. (You can also type the code manually if the browser did not open.)
Approved devices are listed under Settings → Devices, where you can remove one that should no longer have access.
What Syncs — and What Never Does
The web dashboard's Desktop Jobs page shows the envelope of every desktop job: witness, matter, length, page count, status, and billing. It answers "did that sync finish?" and "what did we bill this month?" from any browser.
Your Content Stays Local
Transcript text, video, and sync timestamps never leave your machine through the desktop link. Your account sees only the job envelope — witness, matter, length, status, and billing.
Working Offline
No connection? The desktop app keeps working under a local identity and reconciles your account activity automatically the next time you are online.
